Who the API is for

• Invoicing and accounting software: enter a registration number and fill in the customer's name, seat, tax and VAT ID without retyping.
• B2B online shops: make sure an order comes from a company that exists and is active.
• CRM and sales tools: keep customer records up to date and spot a liquidation or dissolution in time.
• Business partner checks: before signing a contract or delivering on credit, check a company's status and tax risks.

What you get through the API

• Search by name or registration number across countries, with a filter by company status.
• The company card: registration number, tax and VAT ID, legal form, seat, founding and dissolution date, main activity, status and whether the company is a VAT payer.
• VAT risk checks and tax debts: in Slovakia from the Financial Administration's lists, in Czechia the VAT payer reliability checked live on every request.
• Financial statements of Slovak companies for the last five years, with ratios.

Why Karpata

• One API for several countries. Slovakia and Czechia are available today, Poland and Romania are coming. The answer has the same shape for every country.
• The source of every record. Every answer carries the source, the licence and the retrieval time. See the registers on the data sources page.
• Current, clean data. We take over register changes regularly. When a register removes a company, the API says so instead of still returning it.
• Live tax checks. VAT risk never comes from a stale copy; we check it at the time of the request.
• Legal entities only. We do not provide data about natural persons, so the API fits easily into your data protection rules.
• Clear prices in euros. A monthly or yearly plan with no set-up fees; paid data is billed in credits.

How to start

1. Create an account and fill in your company details.
2. Choose a plan on the pricing page. To try the API first, write to us and we will switch on a trial.
3. Issue a key under Account → API keys.
4. Send your first request following the API documentation (OpenAPI 3.1 with an interactive browser).

Is the API free?
Search and the company card on karpata.eu are free. API access is part of the paid plans.

May I show the data in my application?
Yes, within the scope of your plan. Credit the source as the register licences require. Details are in the terms of use.

Is this an official register extract?
No. Karpata is a private service and takes the data from public registers. For legal acts you need an official extract.
